The John Ross District Committee meeting is a monthly gathering to review District events, activities and plans to support all of our Units.
This meeting is normally held on the 1st Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise scheduled by the Key 3. During the summer months, the District Committee Team is planning our calendar for the upcoming year to ensure all our Units are provided with available activities and events!
All John Ross District Chairs, committee members, nominating committee, and interested Adult Leaders are invited to attend.
We encourage (1) representatives from each Unit to attend our District Committee meeting!
District leaders mobilize resources to ensure the growth and success of Scouting units within the district’s territory. Members of the District Committee are volunteers. The district trains adult volunteers provides district programs for units (such as Day Camp, Camporees, Klondike Derby, Merit Badge College, to name a few), assists in the formation of new units, and helps coordinate the annual giving campaign known as Family Friends of Scouting.
